ANGELA HOUSE
With a strong background in education, coaching, and curriculum design, Lionwoman Productions TX has created a partnership with Angela House, a dedicated Houston non-profit that focuses on re-introducing formerly-incarcerated women back into society. Our Voices / Our Souls is a writing and performance workshop we will bring back in 2027 AH residents, between February and March (Women’s History Month).

Our first workshop in October 2024, proved to be an astounding success, cheered by the audience for its moving and blazingly honest portrayals of lived experience and where these women hope to go, moving forward. Once again, under the direction of Houston Theater Artists and Lionwoman collaborators, Tené Carter and Michele Harrell, participants will explore original writing and theater pieces that reflect on their experiences for an invited audience in a final showcase.

Lionwoman’s goal in creating and funding Our Voices / Our Souls is to give participating individuals the opportunity, through creative self-expression in a supportive environment, to further grow, value themselves, give voice to, and honor their lived experience, a second chance to move forward. A second chance is what we all deserve.
We would welcome your sponsorship to fund this community outreach project through Lionwoman Productions. The total needed is: $2,000.00. A donation in any amount makes a difference, and all contributions are tax-deductible.
