Catrina Monarca 2.0
The Spirit of the Monarch

In line with our mission to lift lesser-heard voices, Lionwoman Productions TX is proud to partner with Geraldina Interiano Wise, Artist, in an environmental action designed to spotlight the Monarch Butterfly and our Houston green spaces!

Catrina Monarca 2.0 - The Spirit of the Monarch is a signature, family-friendly performance with additional staging by Lionwoman Productions TX.  In 2027, it will be presented at The Heritage Society of Houston, on SATURDAY, April 24, 2027, part of Earth Day week celebration.  With dance, original music, stunning costuming and conversation, this original and highly-engaging experience is an integration between art, science, and culture, performed by celebrated artist and environmental activist, Geraldina Interiano Wise. She has devised a mesmerizing audience experience exploring the lifecycle and journey of the Monarch butterfly. Catrina Monarca lays out, in a visually stunning way, how Houston’s unique ecology makes the city and its residents important and relevant in the arc of life and survival of the migrating, transnational Monarch butterfly. Audiences will learn about our connection to the Monarch, and be a part of the call to action, with cultivated milkweed plants to take home and start pocket gardens "butterfly B&B's".  Imagine how this momentum can spark interest to bring butterfly gardens to diverse neighborhoods, adding to goodwill, building community bonds, and improving green spaces!

As Producer, we are reaching out for sponsors and donors to partner with us to bring this to life.

This is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference in our communities by providing an experience and an education people will remember and can carry forward as stewards of our unique Houston ecology.  If you would like to contribute or discuss sponsorship and promotional opportunities, or if you can put us in touch with potential sponsors, please contact:  lionwomantx@outlook.com.

A reminder that a contribution of any amount helps us move forward.
